Col. Frank C. Gerlach,

Wooster, Ohio.

Dear Colonel:

Today I am mailing the Adjutant, Samuel Menson, the official announcement of the presentation of the Eighth Regiment colors to the State of Ohio, copy enclosed, and in as much as the State roster indicates the meeting of Buckeye Camp, U.S.V.W., as once a year, and not knowing that date, I suggested that every member of the camp who was an Eight Regiment Comrade, be communicated with and advised of this important ceremony.

Would appreciate very much if you will make it a personal matter and see that this is done, that a large turnout may be had from Company D. We are making such requests from the former Company officers in so far as possible. CoL. Marcus Limb and H. L. McClarran, the Camp Commander, were named on the General Committee, in the “write up” in the Columbus Dispatch of November 29th.

With kindest regards, I am

Yours in F. P. & H.

Department Aide de Camp.
