"Red Cross membership in Wooster and Wayne County reached 1,650 today, a gain of more than 100 from yesterday's report.
Some further gain in the city of Wooster is expected in reports the first of next week. ADD RED CROSS -- oSF John.
The work in Congress township was fully organized at a meeting held at Congress High School last night.
Quite a number of rural districts where it is known some work has been done have made no report whatever. It is on the hope of results in these places that heads of the chapter are hopeful of achieving the full quota of 2300.
That rural memberships are obtainable is evidenced in Chester township and in Wayne township, Chester reporting 100, and Wayne, where no organized work at all was done last year, turned in 75.
Only three more days remain to complete the canvass, as the active effort in behalf of Red Cross ends with Thanksgiving."
