  4. before the Honorable David Higgins President
  5. Judge of said Court William Patterson Isaac
  6. Osbun & William Ridall Associate Judges of
  7. said Court the following among other business
  8. were transacted at said Court to wit.
  9. The credentials of the Rev'd Francis T Ruth
  10. being exhibited and proof produced whereby it
  11. appears that he is a regular ordained minister
  12. of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and
  13. residing within this county It is thereupon
  14. on motioned ordered that he be authorised
  15. to solemnize marriages within this State
  16. so long as he shall continue in regular stan
  17. ding as a minister in said Church Then
  18. and therefore to license the said Francis T Ruth
  19. to solemnize marriages in this state agreeably
  20. to the laws thereof so long as he shall continue
  21. a minister in said church
  22. In testimony whereof I Elzey Hedges

  18. County Rev'd. Elmore Yocum produced creden-
  19. tials in open court of his being a regular ordain-
  20. ed minister of the Gospel of the Methodist Episco-
  21. pal Church, and adduced proof that he is in
  22. regular standing in said Church, and resi-
  23. dent of the County of Richland aforesaid. It was
  24. therefore ordered that be authorized to solem-
  25. nize marriages within this state so long as he
  26. shall continue in regular standing as a minis-
  27. ter in said church. You the said Elmore
  28. Yocum are hereby authorised to celebrate
  29. marriages according to law (so long as
  30. you retain your regular standing in said
  31. church) any where within the state of Ohio

  2. Medina County SS } Be it remembered that at
  3. { Seal } a term of the court of Common
  4. Pleas begun and held at the Court
  5. House in Medina within and for said county
  6. on Monday the 14th day of October AD. 1833
  7. by and before Mathew Birchard president
  8. and Allen Pardee & John Newton associate
  9. Judges of said court came Lorenzo Bivins &
  10. petitioned the court for a license to solem-
  11. nize marriages, and having produced to
  12. said court credentials of his being a regular
  13. ordained minister of the Gospel of the Methodist
  14. Episcopal Church, the Court ordered that
  15. a license issue authorizing the said Lorenzo
  16. Bivins to solemnize marriages within said state
  17. Now therefore, know ye, that agreeably
  18. to the said order of said Court the said
  19. Lorenzo Bivins is hereby licensed to solemnize
  20. marriages as aforesaid within the said
  21. state of Ohio
  22. In testimony whereof I hereunto sign

  29. dentials of his being a regular ordained Minister in the
  30. Church of Christ or Christian Church, and evidence that
  31. he officiates as such in Belmont County Thereupon it
  32. was ordered that a License issue authorizing him to
  33. solemnize marriages in the State of Ohio ; Therefore the said
  34. William F. Pool is by these presents duly licensed and fully au-
  35. thorized to solemnize the rites of matrimony any where within the
  36. State of Ohio between all and any persons legally applying to him for
  37. that purpose so long as he shall continue as regular ordained minister

  11. order that a license issue to him authorizing
  12. him to solemnize the rites of Matrimony accor-
