- Court of Common Pleas, begun and held at Mansfield
- in and for the County of Richland aforesaid on the 1st

- True Petty came into Court and made
- application for a license to solemnize marriages,
- And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court
- that the said True Petty is a regular ordained
- Minister of the Gospel of the Methodist Church
- It is therefore Ordered by the Court that the said
- True Petty be licensed to solemnize marriages in the
- County of Richland, agreeably to the laws of this State

- the County of Knox aforesaid on the twenty seventh day

- Be it remembered that on the 29th day of
- October A.D. 1821. William Pardy produced in Court
- here his credentials showing that he is a regular ordained
- Minister of the Baptist Church, and the Court being
- satisfied thereof do order that he receive a license
- authorising him to solemnize marriages according to law,
- Therefore these are to authorise and empower the
- Rev'd William Pardy aforesaid to solemnize marriages
- so long as he shall continue a regular Minister of the
- Gospel in the Baptist Church between any persons
- legally applying to him for that purpose within this
- State Given under my hand and the seal of said Court

- that by the authority of the Court aforesaid and the powers
- vested in us by law, the said Jacob Fry is hereby fully
- authorised and empowered to solemnize the marriages of all
- such persons as may legally apply to him for the same so
- long as he continues a regular member of Minister
- of the Evangelical Church in North America -

- Tuscarawas County } licence the Rev'd James Johnson
- to solemnize Marriage within the
- State of Ohio, agreeably to the law in such cases made
- and provided so long as he remains in Communion with
- the United Brethren to which denomination of Christians
- he is now attached to - In testimony whereof

- Harrison County } Be it remembered that at a Court of Common
- pleas as begun and held at Cadiz in said County on the fifth day
- of July A.D. 1819 and adjourned from day to day until the 10th
- of the same month before the Honorable Benjamin Tappan President
- and James Roberts, Samuel Boyd and Alexander Henderson
- Esquires Associate Judges of said Court - July 7th AD 1819.
- The Rev'd John Crom, preacher of the gospel among the united
- brethren in Christ this day made application to the Court for
- a licence to solemnize marriages in the State of Ohio -
- Whereupon the Court being satisfied of the ordination of the
- said John Crom by a certificate by him produced and shown to
- the Court from the yearly Conference of said United Brethren in
- Tuscarawas County and State of Ohio on the first day of June A.D.
- 1819. And further being satisfied from testimony given that the said
- John Crom is a resident of Harrison County Ohio and that the said
- John Crom has the charge of a Society in said County, do thereupon
- grant to the said John Crom a licence to Solemnize Marriages accor=
- dingly so long as he the said John Crom shall remain a regular
- Minister of said Society -

- Knox County } Whereas at a Court of Common Pleas
- { Seal of } holden within and for the County aforesaid
- { Knox Co. } at Mount Vernon the 18th day of October
- { Com pleas } in the year of our Lord A.D. 1820. Henry
- Hosler having produced in Court evidence
- of his being a regular Minister of the Evangelical Church
- And it is ordered by the Court that licence be granted and
- issue to him the said Henry Hosler, empowering him to
- Solemnize Marriage between any persons legally applying
- for the same. Therefore be it known that we Jacob Young
- Joseph Brown & Stephen Chapman associate Judges of the
- Court aforesaid do hereby by the power vested in us by
- law, empower and authorize you the said Henry Hosler
- to, solemnize the marriage of such persons legally applying
- to you for the same as long as you Continue a Regular

- Licking County } Court of Common pleas October 7th 1817. -
- Upon the application of Abner Goff and
- he having produced satisfactory evidence to the Court of his
- being duly authorised by the Reverend Robert R. Roberts Bishop
- of the Methodist Episcopal Church in America, as a Deacon of said
- Church to administer the ordinance of Baptism, Marriage etc.
- Therefore ordered that the said Abner Goff be and he hereby is licenced
- to solemnize Marriages agreeable to the act of assembly in such case

- the Court of Common pleas of the County of Preble
- aforesaid licence and permission is hereby given unto
- the Reverend James Murray a resident of the
- said County of Preble aforesaid, and a regular
- Ordained Minister of the gospel of the Methodist Episcopal
- Church to Solemnize Marriages in the State of Ohio
- so long as he continues to be a regular Minister in
- said Church, according to the form of the Statute

- Thomas Martin of said County having produced satisfactory
- evidence of his being Ordained a Priest of the Roman Catholic
- Church. It was ordered by the Court that the said Thomas
- Martin receive a licence to Solemnize Marriages in the
- State aforesaid. Therefore know ye that the Rev'd. Thomas
- Martin aforesaid hath permission and by these presents is
- fully authorised to Solemnize Marriages so long as he
- shall continue a regular Minister in said Church between
- any persons legally applying to him within this State-

- Minister of the Gospel of the denomination of Christians Stated
- the Christian Church and made application for licence
- to solemnize Marriage, whereupon it was ordered by the
- Court that he receive Licence for that purpose where
- -fore the said James Hoskinson is hereby Licenced
- to solemnize Marriage between any persons legally applying
- to him, for and during the period he shall continue
- such Minister within the State of Ohio. In testimony
