Explanation of Directory
This particular directory was published in September, 1904. It contains an alphabetical list of all citizens, business firms and professions. The Wooster listing of businesses may be found on the page titled, Business Abstracts from the 1904 Directory. The "Rural Residents of Wayne County, Ohio" page is actually a postal directory of the taxpayers of the county. The individuals listed are paying taxes in Wayne County, Ohio; however, many reside in places other than where they are paying taxes.
