The staff in the Genealogy and Local History collection of the Adult Department is here to help you in your quest to find information on your family. Also, the collection includes directories, historical files, newspapers dating back to 1822, and much more to assist you in local history research.

These include both active and defunct. The Genealogy Portal focuses on the people of Wayne County. The Local History Portal focuses on the histories of townships, communities, buildings, and much more.
