    • 1887 - The bank was organized under the National Banking laws of the United States, in 1871. Its present stock and surplus combined is now $78,400, and in its appointments and executive ability will compare favorably with the leading institutions of its class in our leading cities. It has ample and well-secured vaults, with one of the latest improved double burglar-proof and time-lock safes for the care of securities. A regular banking business is transacted in the issue of currency according to the national banking system, the prompt attention to collections, discounts, exchange, deposits, etc.; in its list of depositors and certificate holders are found a large share of the leading business houses of this cit, as well as farmers, manufacturers, tradesmen and capitalists of various sections of this and other counties.

The present officers are John Zimmerman , President; Martin Welker, Vice-President, and Curtis V. Hard, Cashier.[1]
