- 1887 - July 28, Lake Talbot stocked with German Carp, [4]
- 1897 - July 14, A physician stated that Lake Talbot is fed by springs and is dangerous because the water is cold and creates cramps in ankles and limbs making the swimmers unable to swim. [5]
- 1902 - October 1, Flood, Lake Talbot rose 4-5 feet in not even an hour. Noted by J. H. Kline, Highland Park manager. [6]
