The house was built sometime between 1925 and 1928. In the 1925 Wooster city directory, 1440 Beall Ave was not listed. In the 1928 Wooster City Directory, 1440 Beall Ave is listed for the first time. From ''The Wooster Daily Record'' in 1925, Della B. Kate purchases a lot in [[Bloomington, Ohio|Bloomington]] for $1 from [[Blough & Taylor Insurance|F. W. Blough]]. Frank W. Blough was an owner of the [[Blough & Taylor Insurance|Blough & Taylor Real Estate Agency]]. No lot number is given. <ref> ''The Wooster Daily Record''. July 8, 1925 p. 2</ref> It is interesting to note that Monroe O. Kate was listed as a salesman for [[Blough & Taylor Insurance|Blough & Taylor]] company in the 1925 and 1928 Wooster city directories. The house was built sometime between 1925 and 1928. In the 1925 Wooster city directory, 1440 Beall Ave was not listed. In the 1928 Wooster City Directory, 1440 Beall Ave is listed for the first time. From The Wooster Daily Record in 1925, Della B. Kate purchases a lot in Bloomington for $1 from F. W. Blough. Frank W. Blough was an owner of the Blough & Taylor Real Estate Agency. No lot number is given. [1] It is interesting to note that Monroe O. Kate was listed as a salesman for Blough & Taylor company in the 1925 and 1928 Wooster city directories. The following year, Della B. Kate purchases a Bloomington lot from Libbie G. Shelby for $1. No lot number is given. [2] In both the 1925 and 1928 Wooster city directories, Monroe E. and Della B. Kate reside at 819 Beall Ave. By the 1930 Wooster city directory, the Kate family are listed as residents of 1440 Beall Ave. Della B. Kate continued to live at the residence until her death on July 23, 1969. [3] In the 1970 Wooster city directory, Donald L.
