Computer Training

Individualized computer training on: Wooster, Internet, e-mail, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. While we do computer training with our consumers, we no longer offer the Computer Tutoring Program to the community. For more information, please call 330-264-1300.

Employment Services for Disabled

Work opportunities for those with disabilities and who have other barriers to obtain competitive employment in Wayne County.

Externships (Commmunity Work Experience)

  • Work Assessment - Individuals participate in an assessment that focuses on work habits such as productivity, work attitude, punctually, willingness to learn, and reliability.
  • Work Adjustment - Individuals participate in a program of case management and training to help develop work habits and attitude required for competitive employment.
  • Job Readiness and Placement
  • Work First Training program
  • Referrals - Works with a variety of individuals such as seniors, those getting off welfare or coming out of a correctional facility, people with physical or mental disabilities, and many more individuals who may have a difficult time re-entering the workforce.

Interview (Techniques)

  • Help with developing interviewing skills

Job Coaching Services

  • Job Coaching - job trainers work side-by-side with individuals at community-based job sites teaching specific job skills and appropriate work behaviors for success on the job. Job trainers gradually fade services until individuals are able to perform job tasks independently.

Transitional Employment

This program provides employment to individuals who can function productively within the support of a transitional environment. Also, offers Work First Training Program which helps transition people to financial stability and rewarding careers.
