Christian A. Wyer was a well-known auctioneer and horse dealer in Wayne County, Ohio. He was born 25 May 1870 in Milton Township to David Wyer and Catherine (Eicher) Wyer. He died 24 July 1926. He is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery. In the 1900 US Census, he was listed as an auctioneer and residing in Barberton, Summit County, Ohio. By 1903, he is an auctioneer from Orrville.

Christian A. Wyre married Biancy W. Gingery on 30 December 1897 in Wayne County, Ohio.
