Benjamin Miller removed from Stark County, Ohio to Wooster, Ohio in the spring of 1809. He brought his wife and family and opened a house of entertainment. He kept the first tavern in Wooster. It was located where J. B. Power had his dry goods store in 1878, ate the time Ben Douglass' History of Wayne County, Ohio was published. He was the father of Abraham Miller and Tillie Miller.
