"Klondike Bill"

  • "A pretty good start," said the old man, "and now we'll go up to Tuttle & Sellers hardware store and buy our hardware, stoves, tinware, etc. Here Fannie's housewifely instinct had full play in the marvels of kitchen apparatus, buying all the equipment's needed in a well regulated kitchen. "There is not an establishment in this vicinity that carries a more comprehensive line of household furnishings for the kitchen or parlor than does Tuttle & Sellers," remarked Uncle Bill. Every possible piece of kitchen furniture from a tin tipper to a cooking range is here in all styles and varieties. If Fannie fails to accomplish wonders in the culinary art, it will not be for the lack of superior cooking utensils, for she purchase a Majestic range, a Round Oak heater, a Tornado washing machine, a Domo cream separator and a New Perfection oil stove. Uncle Bill then bought the Green Seal paints, oils and varnishes, Pittsburg Perfection wire fence, also all kinds of slate, tin and galvanized roofing and spouting builders hardware, etc., for the farm.
