come greeting
Know ye that at a court of Common
Pleas began and held at Lancaster in the
County aforesaid on the 16th day of March
AD 1836. It being made to appear to the
satisfaction of the court that Absalom
B. Shaeffer was a regularly ordained
Minister of the Gospel in the Evangelical
Association. It was therefore ordered
that License to Solemnize Marriages
within the State of Ohio, be granted to
the said Absalom B Shaeffer so long
as he shall continue in regular standing
as a Minister in said Church.
These are therefore to license
and permit the said Absalom B. Shaeffer
to Solemnize Marriages by virtue of
the pursuances aforesaid.

rt house in the town of Canton within and for
the State of Ohio on Monday, June 18th 1838 it app
earing to the satisfaction of the Court that Emanuel
Logue is a regularly ordained & constituted Teaching
Elder of the church usually denominated the church
of God. It is ordered that a License be granted to
him authorizing him to solemnize marriages within
this State so long as he shall continue such regular
ordained Teaching Elder. Therefore by virtue of
the order aforesaid the said Emanuel Logue is
hereby authorized to solemnize marriages within
this state according to the statute in such case
made and provided.
