The Murder

Description

On December 17th, 1966, the police received a call by a man named Joseph Tenley. He reported to the police that he had discovered Maxine Tenley on the floor of their kitchen and was not able to help her up. Maxine Tenley, otherwise known as Maxine Menough, had been living with Joseph for 4 years. Maxine was stabbed to death in the room next to her sleeping 22 month old child. [1]

The knife used to commit the crime was said to be halfway between a kitchen and hunting knife. [2]

That morning, the Tenley's had called the police to report items stolen. This also happened on the 14th of December. [3]

Joseph Tenley was arrested and charged with Maxine's murder later that night.
