FREEDLANDERS BUY SUPERIOR CLOAK STORE

Close West Liberty Street Business Place After Deal Friday Night
The Superior Cloak Company's stock of goods and fixtures in the West Liberty street store was purchased Friday night by Freedlanders and the Superior Cloak company has retired from the retail business. Manager Goldberg, speaking of the sale said: "Business at the wholesale factory on East Liberty street has increased to such an extent that it was impossible for me to longer attempt running a retail store. If I could obtain sufficient help I would run a night shift the greater part of the time at the factory, as right now over $50,000 worth of merchandise is on order and must be turned out as quickly as possible." Mr. Goldberg is a believer in hard work and hustling, but declares he has found that there is a limit to what any man's energy will carry and in the future he intends confining his efforts to the wholesale business and is willing to let someone else worry about the retail end of the cloak business.

Mr. I. Freedlander, commenting on the purchase of the Superior stock, said: "We bought the stock greatly under price and intend selling the entire lot the same way. We desire to dispose of it quickly in order that it will not conflict with our regular merchandise, and also so that we may make room for spring garments."

CLOAK FACTORY WILL PUT ON EXTRA HELP

Manager Goldberg of the Superior Cloak company, which operates a factory in the Clapper building on East Liberty street, today stated that the only reason he disposed of his retail store on West Liberty street is that the factory takes all of his time.

"Beginning next week we will operate a day and a night shift in the factory. We have so many orders for spring delivery that we will be busy two months at least. I did not have time to look after the store. We will remain in Wooster and will continue to operate the cloak factory at full capacity," said Mr. Goldberg.
