Comprehensive History

St. Michael's Lutheran Church located at 7404 Coal Bank Road, Marshallville was established in 1830. It shared a building with St. Michael's Reformed Church until 1874, when it purchased land from John Lower for its own building, often still referred to as the "Lower Church." Sources found for this church were; The St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church History 1830-1930, Esther Weygandt Powell, 1967 (located in Genealogy Dept. at the Wayne County Public Library) and History of Wayne County, Ohio 1987, page 55.
