- 1892 - June 1, Death of William B. Rogers. William B. Rogers died in Wooster last Friday morning in the 75th year of his age. The cause of death was paralysis. He was born in Westmoreland county, Pa., July 17, 1818, and nearly half a century ago settled in Wayne county. He removed to Wooster about 30 years ago, where he continuously engaged in the hotel business, dying proprietor of the Rogers House on East Liberty street. His wife died a few years ago, as did also their only child, a son. Volne Rogers, whose widow Mrs. Odessa Rogers and children are the only survivors of the family. The deceased was an exemplary citizen, noted for his integrity. The funeral tool place from the Rogers House Sunday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. DR. Hills. The pall bearers were George D. Hatfield, Adam Eyeman, John D. Miller, Wm. P. Kinzen, Hiram Fishers, Alvinzi Cunningham.
