- 1883 - Alvin Conrad Ramseyer, age 3, came to Smithville, Ohio
- 1906 - Alvin (A.C.) Ramseyer, age 23, farmed with Daniel Ramseyer, his father raising a crop of potatoes; began farming Guernsey dairying and imported a herd from Guernsey Island
- 1920s late - A.C. Ramseyer was milking over 200 head of cattle
