Further north on Portage road of the Thomas Smith cabin was a settlement called Georgetown. A tavern was built by George Leisure on the Orchard Hill Farm. Leisure's trade also included stage coaches, emigrant wagons, and horseback mail carriers traveling the Portage road. [1]
