    • 1955 - Jay Lehman established store to serve the local Amish and others without electricity.
    • 1960s - Jay Lehman's brother Dave Lehman and his father Ezra Lehman managed the business with their sister Pearl Lehman and Raymond Steiner, the first non-family employee.
    • 1962 - Jay Lehman along with his family take an extended overseas where he realizes that missionaries and other professionals need non-electric products.
    • 1970 - Mt. Hope Hardware was purchased and remains a vital branch location for Lehman's.
    • 1973 - Due to the Oil Embargo customers began coming to Lehman's from out-of-state.
    • 1976 - Galen Lehman joins company stocking shelves, sweeping and occasionally waits on customer.
    • 1978 - Lehman's Non-Electric Good Neighbor Heritage Catalog is birthed after national attention turns to Lehman's for old-fashioned products.
    • 1979 - Glenn Kauffman, Jay Lehman's brother-in-law joins Lehman's.
    • 1980s - Large expansion with the building of two warehouses and expanding the store.
    • 1990s - Hollywood becomes a customer ordering authentic, old-fashioned props.
    • 1993 - Levin Lehman, youngest son of Jay Lehman, joins the business, as a college graduate. Leaving his position in 1999 to pursue other interests in Vermont.
    • 1996 - Introduces Lehmans.com to sell non-electric goods online. This new marketing tool is one of the fasting growing business tools.
    • 1998-1999 - As Y2K approaches, Lehman's became known and people stocked up on non-electric products.
    • 2004 - Catalog is printed in full-color.
    • 2007 - Mark's 50 years in business
    • 2011 - Flash flood during the early morning hours, millions of gallons of water and 32 tons of mud flooded the entire 45,000 square foot store. Due to the dedication of the employees parts of the store opened the next day.
    • 2012 - Preppers became a key Lehman's customer.
    • 2014 - Lehman's goes deep into "For Simpler Life"
    • 2016 - Lehman's purchases the Aladdin Lamp Company
    • 2021 - January 18, HRM Enterprises purchases the Lehman's stores.
