John Moore (1786-1863)

John Moore was born in 1786. He married Hannah Bovard on 25 January 1814. To this marriage six children was born: Jane Moore (1815-___), Margaret Moore (1816-___), Andrew Moore Jr. (1819-1891), Robert Moore (1821-___), Susanna Moore (1826-___) and Mary Ann Moore (1827-___). John Moore died in 1863. His wife, Hannah died 25 April 1860. Both are buried at the Old Presbyterian Cemetery in East Union Township, Wayne County, Ohio. John Moore came to Wayne County in 1812. John purchased a tract of land on the 13 June 1813 of 160 acres in the southwest quarter of section 33 in East Union Township, Wayne County, Ohio. In the 1826 Wayne County, Ohio Tax List he owned 2 horses, 2 cows and 160 acres of land value of $392. His brother, Andrew Moore purchased an adjoining tract of 160 acres of land. Andrew Moore married Nancy Caldwell and when they died leaving no issue.
