"In 1838 Sprague built a new jewelry store and family residence at the northwest corner of Liberty and Walnut streets. The two-story "Sprague Corner" building was torn down in 1955 and a new building was erected. Today that structure houses The Parlor restaurant."[1]

The last one was built on Public Square and you could see no pavement in any direction, there were that many people." "It was the bicentennial year and our sundae was broadcast on three TV stations." "Bercaw said The Parlor stopped attempting to build bigger and bigger sundaes when it became apparent a sundae couldn't get any bigger. We stopped because it got so big 5,000 pound," he said." [4]
