Incorporation of Wooster Library Association March 7, 1957

At the meeting of the Majority of the members of a certain organized literary association called the Wooster Library Association held on the seventh day of March in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-seven at the school house of sub-district number one of the incorporated village of Wooster called among other things for the purpose of constituting the said association into a corporation in pursuance of the provisions relating to literacy societies contained in an act of the General Assembly passed on the first day of May in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two entitled "An act to provide for the creation and regulation of the incorporated companies in the State of Ohio" the following proceedings were had to wit:

On motion and it appearing that the President and Vice-President of the said Association were absent. James M. Madden was chosen President pro-tempore.

Addison G. McClure Secretary of said Association was present.

On motion it was resolved; that the association be and the same is hereby constituted into a corporation aggregate by the name and style of the Wooster Library Association and that the corporate authority thereof shall be vest in a board of directors consisting of three member of the same also.

Resolved; That the present board of directors of the said association to wit Ira G. Fairbanks, Edmond French and Leander S. Baumgardner, and the successors in office shall constitute the said board of directors and also Resolved: that Addison I. McClure the present secretary of said association and his successors in office shall be ex-officio Clerk of said board of directors. And on motion it was thereopon ordered that the Secretary make a true and complete record of the said proceedings of the said Meeting and that he deliver the same duly certified under his hand forth-with to the recorder of Wayne County for record in pursuance of the said provisions of the above recited act which by these presents in accordingly done.
