In 1936, "Joseph Joliff and his three sons purchased Ideal Dairy of Wooster from Vernon A. Snoddy and family"[1]. By the late 1950s, the dairy employed 35 people and sourced its milk entirely from 45 Wayne County farms, and "in addition to the bottling of milk and cream the Ideal Dairy also manufactures ice cream, cottage cheese and is one of the few dairies in Ohio that churns their own butter"[2].
