"A SPRINGTIME SUGGESTION.
Doing Good at Home and to Others at Once.
To the Editor of The Wooster Republican: Attention! Ladies, Spring is here! And with its usual accompaniment, the inevitable house-cleaning, rubbish to be gathered, odds and ends to be cared for and disposed of, book cases to be re-arranged and the crowded shelves relieved.
At least the books must be carefully looked over. For this task the Reading Room Committee feel called upon to express their sympathy and offer a suggestion which may prove helpful to the home and a means of good to others. Now is the golden opportunity to contribute to our Public Reading Room! And as you turn over one book after another there will surely be some that will commend themselves as just the ones for our Public Library.
Our hearts have been made happy by a generous gift of this kind from one who is breaking up her home in Wooster and thoughtfully considers this need of our city.
It will be an added help to a pleasant rememberance of one who will be long missed by many friends. Others are sending in their gifts as they are able, for every one of which we are grateful. In these hard times, let us keep up a cheery room where all are free to come and read the daily papers, bright magazines and much valuable and useful matter that we treasure in our Reading Room. Come and see for yourself how it is appreciated."
