Comprehensive History

located at 127 Mill Street, Burbank was established in 1833. Members met in the home of Christian Hower until a frame church was built in 1837. In 1872/73 a brick building was built. It was destroyed by fire in September 1894. The congregation rebuilt and this building (present building) was dedicated in March 1895. Timeline

• 1871 - Methodist Church built, "costing nearly $14,000, and the finest structure of the town. In it was the "old town clock" of which no other town in Northern Ohio of its size could boast".
• 1894 - Fire destroyed church. "Only the Bible and organ were saved from the church."
