Comprehensive History

East Union Lutheran Church located at 7063 East Lincoln Way, Wooster was established 17 November 1839 as the East Union English Evangelical Lutheran Church. It bordered the east side of the present day East Union Cemetery. Another building was erected in 1866. Sources found for this church were; East Union Lutheran Church Records (located in the Genealogy Dept. at the Wayne County Public Library), Wipert’s Church Histories of Wayne County, Ohio and History of Wayne County, Ohio, 1987, page 54.
