Church of the Gentle Shepherd located at 18600 Davis Road, Dalton was established in 1984. Prior to a building being erected in 1986, members met in a barn at 12421 East Lincolnway, Orrville, Kamp Kidron and Central Christian High School. Sources found for this church were Church Histories of Wayne County Ohio, Wipert and History of Wayne County, Ohio, 1987, page 64. The church is non-denominational.
