The Wayne County Genealogical Society holds a business meeting eleven times a year. It does not meet in December. Programs will be in-person with an option to attend virtually with most programs. Short business meetings will be held following each program. Programs usually begin at 6:00 p.m. and are held in the Conference Room of the Wayne County Public Library unless otherwise noted.

It is frequently assumed that the only bound Americans were those brought on the slave ships from Africa. This lecture will examine the many different forms of servitude and indentureship in early America.

Pam Blaha will provide a brief tour of Kope Cemetery located on Friendsville Road just north of Fulton Rd. Parking is minimal at the library. We will meet at a predetermined place at 6:00 p.m. and carpool down to the cemetery to limit the number of cars.

Located at St Rte 97, the gives individuals the opportunity to tour the facility and spend some time researching. If you need a ride to Bellville, meet in the Wayne County Public Library parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Otherwise, meet at the OGS library in Bellville at 10:00 a.m.

The Long Family Military Museum in Wooster, Ohio is cared for by the "Lest We Forget" group. The private museum displays military memorabilia from the Great War (WWI) to the Global War on Terrorism. Join our group as we have the opportunity to tour this personal collection.

Holmes County Genealogy Library and Glass Museum
Cheryl Abernathy will provide a tour of the Archives room at the Genealogy Library. Program will begin at 6:00 p.m. Also, you will have the opportunity to look around the glass museum.
