Historical Information

Michael Hatfield bought the first lot from Pjilip Fritz and built a home on it. He started a grocery selling drugs, beer, whisky, etc.

The name supposedly came from Michael, drunk and in a more ecstatic mood, exclaiming "When I get to heaven I will shine as bright as anybody."[1]
