Biographical Sketches
John N. Boor was born 18 July 1834 and died on 4 November 1917 at the age of 83 years, 3 months, 16 days. He served for the Union cause during the Civil War. According to his pension application card, he served in 9th Ohio Cavalry, Company D and the 16th Ohio Infantry, Company C. He filed for an invalid pension on 21 February 1882. His widow, Elizabeth C. (Carl) Boor applied for a widow's pension on 9 November 1917. John married Elizabeth on 13 March 1862 in Wayne County, Ohio. They had several children.
