The house located at 340 N. Bever St., known as the Charles Gasche House, was built in 1859[1], and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places: its reference number is 88003192.

The Gasche House is a two-and-a-half story, T-shaped, common bond brick dwelling with a cut sandstone foundation with a tooled stone water table. A rear one-and-a-half story gable-roofed wing was added sometime between 1865-1868. The residence is a locally unique example of a distinctive Gothic Revival style embellished with Italianate decorative elements.
