Central Christian Church (Disciple of Christ) located at 407 North Market Street, Wooster was established 26 July 1835. For some years, the church had no meeting house. Members met in the old courthouse, a school building in the south part of town, a cooper shop and members’ homes. In 1847 a building was erected. In 1889 the present building was erected. Sources found for this church include the Central Christian 125th Anniversary Celebration booklet (found in Central Christian Church file located in Genealogy Department at Wayne County Public Library) and History of Wayne County, Ohio, B.F.
